If you want to play in four directions easily, you will have to ask the store staff to change the setting. I am a relaxing gamer, so four directions is much easier for me to play.
This game was released in 1979, and I remember playing it at a video game arcade under the watchful eyes of my school. It was a really simple game with no background music.
Also, the first game company I worked for after graduation (KAZe Corporation, which is well known for its digital pinball series) released a Game Boy version of Heiankyo Alien from Meldac, which is the game I remember the most. The graphics were cute and the direction and music was by Norio Nakagata, formerly working for Namco, who was in charge of the music for Genpei Tōma Den/THE GENJI AND HEIKE CLANS.
